Hardest-Hit Homeowners MSHDA’s plan to help

MSHDA’s plan to use $498.6 million in federal funds to help more than 49,000 homeowners in Michigan to avoid foreclosure has been approved by the U.S. Department of Treasury. The plan helps with mortgage payment assistance for individuals receiving unemployment, rescue funds for homeowners who have fallen behind in payments through no fault of their own, and matching funds for principal reductions for homeowners who can no longer afford mortgage payments due to reduced income. Find out if your lender is part of the Hardest Hit Servicer/Lender List.

Step Forward Michigan is part of the Hardest Hit Program with up to $30,000 in rescue funds to homestead properties to prevent mortgage or tax foreclosure.
